Nuvoco Vistas reported a 78 per cent rise in net profit to ₹64.5 crore for the second quarter of FY27. Revenue from operations grew 13.5 per cent to ₹2,790 crore. The company said, "Intense and erratic rainfall in key markets" weighed on the operating environment during the period ended September 30.
Nuvoco Vistas Corp Ltd, the cement arm of the Nirma Group, reported a 78 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹64.5 crore in the second quarter of FY27, while revenue from operations rose 13.5 per cent to ₹2,790 crore, driven by higher sales volumes and growth across its businesses.
The company's EBITDA increased 11 per cent year-on-year to ₹411 crore during the quarter ended September 30, 2026. Cement sales volume grew 9 per cent year-on-year to 4.7 million tonnes (mt), while revenue from the cement business increased 13 per cent to ₹2,510 crore. The ready-mix concrete and other businesses recorded revenue of ₹293 crore, an increase of nearly 14 per cent over the year-ago period.
The company attributed its performance to premiumisation and an improved geographical sales mix, which helped support realisations amid muted cement prices. Intense and erratic rainfall in key markets, logistics and supply chain disruptions, and elevated input costs weighed on the operating environment, said Jayakumar Krishnaswamy, managing director of Nuvoco Vistas, in an official release.
During the quarter, the company commissioned a 2 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) grinding unit at its Limla Cement Plant in Surat, strengthening its presence in western India. The expansion is part of its broader capacity growth plans, with Nuvoco targeting 35 mtpa of cement capacity by FY28. The company also partnered with CleanMax for a 46.4 MW wind-solar hybrid renewable energy project in Rajasthan. Once operational, the project is expected to generate around 100 million units of renewable electricity annually, helping reduce dependence on conventional power sources and improve energy cost efficiency.
Nuvoco said it would focus on premiumisation, supply chain efficiencies and execution of its expansion projects, including the remaining modules of the Vadraj Cement project at Kutch and Sachana.
