Nigeria to lose over 50% of UK aid as US, Europe slash foreign assistance

The United Kingdom announced a 50.2 per cent cut in development aid to Nigeria by 2029. The allocation will fall to £68 million from £136.62 million. The government said these cuts help fund domestic priorities and defence spending. Other European nations also started to scale back their foreign assistance budgets.
