Mitsubishi Heavy to develop small next-generation nuclear reactors

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is moving to develop next-generation small modular reactors. This effort follows a government plan to maximize nuclear power use. The company plans to get these compact reactors running in the 2040s. They will receive government support to build safe units that withstand earthquakes and even a tsunami.
