Trump’s AI protectionism has come for robotics

Last week, the Federal Trade Commission issued a sweeping ban on foreign imports of advanced robots. The agency said these machines pose national security risks and need to face less Chinese competition. Ghost Robotics CEO Gavin Kenneally said, “If today’s announcement encourages stronger cybersecurity and a more level competitive environment, that’s good.”
