OpenAI pays $3.2 million in US probe over hiring foreign workers

OpenAI will pay $3.2 million to settle U.S. government claims that it favored foreign workers over U.S. applicants. The Justice Department said the company violated the Immigration and Nationality Act. Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon said, "this substantial settlement ensures that OpenAI redresses harm and changes its recruitment practices."
