‘Who approved it?’: Hockey India president Dilip Tirkey seeks answers on jersey switch

Hockey India president Dilip Tirkey questioned the decision to change the team’s jersey to saffron. He wrote to director general Cdr RK Srivastava, asking who approved the redesign. Tirkey said, “The matter concerns the decision-making process adopted for a change involving one of the most recognisable symbols of Indian hockey.”
