Thai footballer dies, Malaysian injured after lightning strike during match

A Thai footballer died and a Malaysian player got injured after lightning struck during a match at Santiphap Stadium on Tuesday, August 4. Police said the incident happened at 5pm during heavy rain. Sofwan Awae, 24, died from his injuries, while many others were taken to the hospital for treatment.
