Source: Yanks to call up top prospect Lombard

The Yankees plan on calling up top prospect George Lombard Jr. on Tuesday after optioning shortstop Anthony Volpe to Triple-A. The club also sent Jasson Dominguez down following Monday’s loss. General manager Brian Cashman said, "We engaged everybody," while looking for upgrades. Lombard now gets his chance in the Bronx.
