Republicans Let Trump Keep Unparalleled Benefit: I.R.S. Immunity

Acting attorney general Todd Blanche announced Sunday that President Trump will keep immunity from I.R.S. audits. While Blanche ended a $1.8 billion fund for targeted officials, Trump still avoids tax scrutiny. “I was treated very unfairly by the I.R.S.,” Trump said Monday. Senate Republicans now plan to approve Blanche’s nomination.
