Air quality alert: Wildfire smoke may be unhealthy for days in Seattle

Air quality alerts are in effect for Seattle and surrounding counties through 5 p.m. Wednesday as wildfire smoke moves into the region. Meteorologist Dana Felton said, “Doesn’t look very good.” Smoke from Spokane fires will likely stay for days, potentially reaching unhealthy levels while blocking the sun and cooling temperatures.
