25 states sue over Trump’s new tariffs, calling them ‘pretext’ to replace his old ones

Twenty-five states sued the Trump administration Monday over new tariffs. Officials called the move a pretext to replace taxes the Supreme Court struck down in February. New York Attorney General Letitia James said, “After losing at the Supreme Court, the administration is once again trying to illegally raise taxes.”
