Bayer Earnings Beat Estimates on Crop Science Strength

Bayer AG posted better-than-expected profit in the second quarter, helped by a strong performance in its crop science business. Adjusted earnings reached €2.14 billion before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, Bayer said Tuesday. This result beat the €1.93 billion estimate, showing how the company got a boost from agricultural sales.
