Disney+, Paramount+, and Netflix are exploring free streaming tiers as free services captured 18.7% of US TV watch time in April 2026. Many viewers moved to free options after prices rose. Netflix co-CEO Greg Peters said, "a free offering could make sense in select international markets," as companies fight for viewers.
