Cash-strapped HOAs ramp up foreclosures against delinquent homeowners: report

Homeowner associations are filing more foreclosures against residents who fail to pay dues. Data from Benutech shows HOAs filed 284,933 liens in 2025, an 8.6% increase from 2024. Brian Fox said, "HOAs are being forced into more aggressive collections to avoid their own financial collapse." Many communities now face underfunding issues.
