Nearly 50 asylum seekers deported under ‘one in one out’ scheme have returned to the UK

Almost 50 asylum seekers deported under the “one in one out” scheme have returned to the UK. The scheme started last September to deter small boat crossings. One returnee said, “There is nowhere for asylum seekers to go and be safe and have peace in Europe.” Officials now plan re-deportations.
