Scientists pave way for plant-grown meat

Scientists on Thursday said they paved the way for plant-grown meat by engineering tobacco and lettuce to make myoglobin. Dr Alexia Groff said, "This could provide a more sustainable way to produce an important ingredient for plant-based meat products." This method uses crops to create meat-like flavour and colour.
