An ancient bias: Ice Age humans targeted female mammoths, scientists find

Ice Age humans preferred hunting female mammoths, a new study in Current Biology shows. Researchers analysed DNA from 521 mammoths dating back 50,000 years. Findings revealed that 70% of mammoths at human sites were female. Lead author Hannah Moots said, "That's a great question, and one we're still actively investigating."
