The Daniel K. Inouye Solar Telescope on Maui captured high-resolution images of the sun’s surface. These findings, published Wednesday in Nature, show feathery patterns caused by magnetized plasma. Scientists said, "it has not been observed ever at that level on the solar surface." This helps track solar storms affecting GPS.
