Uma Shankar Singh, lone MLA of Mayawati's party in UP, dies at 55

Uma Shankar Singh, the lone BSP MLA from Rasra, died at 55 while getting treatment for a brain tumour. Mayawati called his death "deeply saddening" and praised his loyalty to the party. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Akhilesh Yadav also shared their grief over the loss of the leader.
