SIAM withdraws earlier letter to Govt that had flagged chloride-related concerns with E20

The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers withdrew its letter to the government on August 4, 2026, regarding chloride concerns in E20 fuel. SIAM said the data needed more authentication. The body previously claimed high chloride levels caused corrosion in vehicle parts, but now says those concerns have been addressed.
