The Kayastha Pathshala Trust cancelled permission for Rahul Gandhi’s August 8 event in Prayagraj despite the Congress paying Rs 51,000. The trust cited potential academic disruption and monsoon damage. Ajay Rai said, “We had prior permission and had submitted the advance money also.” The party is now seeking alternative venues.
