Rs 2,192 crore cleared, 62% for firms linked to government tech fund panel

The government cleared Rs 2,192 crore for firms, with 62% going to companies linked to Technology Development Board panel members. While the Ministry said selections were based on merit, MP Praveen Chakravarty noted that “the optics is as important as the intent” regarding these potential conflicts of interest in funding.
