Maharashtra govt issues first warning to FDA chief Tukaram Mundhe amid Saoji mutton row

The Maharashtra government on Thursday issued its first public warning to FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe. This followed his remarks about Vidarbha’s popular Saoji mutton, which triggered criticism from political leaders. Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule said, “Targeting the entire Saoji business is wrong.” Mundhe later clarified his comments reflected only personal preference.
