FCRA Bill is ‘religion-neutral’, Shah assures Christian bodies

Union Home Minister Amit Shah met Christian delegations on August 6, 2026, to discuss the FCRA Amendment Bill. He assured them the law is religion-neutral and not meant to harass any community. The government said the Bill will not apply retrospectively, as Parliament prepares to discuss it on August 12.
