America's Democratic Socialists are having the summer of their lives

The Democratic Socialists of America are gaining power as their candidates win several congressional primaries. On August 4th, Abdul El-Sayed beat a centrist in Michigan’s Senate primary. The group uses social media and door-knocking to change the party from within. Sociologist David Purucker said, "it's on the barricades much more naturally."
