₹1L bounty gangster linked to Kairana exodus shot dead in Shamli encounter

Mohammed Furqan, a gangster with a ₹1-lakh reward, died in a Shamli encounter on Wednesday. Police said he was a key figure behind the Kairana exodus. The gunfight occurred in forests near Rangana village. A police constable also got injured during the exchange of fire with the dreaded criminal.
