Supreme Court dismisses plea for SIT probe in Justice Varma case

The Supreme Court on Friday rejected a plea seeking a Special Investigation Team probe into burnt currency found at former judge Yashwant Varma’s residence. Justice P.S. Narasimha said the petition was a shot at “cheap publicity.” The court dismissed the case after the judge resigned from his office last year.
