Demography as diplomacy: New prospects of Japan and Northeast India's relations

Japan faces a major labour crisis as over 29% of its citizens are now aged 65 or above. To fill this gap, northeastern Indian states started training young people for jobs in Japan. This partnership uses India’s young workforce to help Japan’s economy while creating new opportunities for many students.
