20 Indian satellites at risk: Why space above Earth is becoming a danger zone

Twenty Indian satellites face a high collision risk in low Earth orbit due to crowded space. ISRO already carried out nine collision avoidance manoeuvres in 2026 to protect these assets from dangerous debris. To fix this, ISRO started the Debris Free Space Mission to ensure sustainable operations for all future missions.
