Global equity funds extend inflow streak to 11 weeks as earnings optimism lifts risk appetite

Global equity funds attracted fresh investor money for an 11th straight week in the week ended August 5. Investors poured a net $21.15 billion into these funds as strong corporate earnings and lower oil prices boosted confidence. Many investors also bought bonds, while money market funds got $57.48 billion in inflows.
