Monkeys are showing 'human' kindness, proving our empathy might not be as unique as we thought.

A Springer study analysed 427 unique cases of inter-species social interactions among primates. The research showed that monkeys and apes often care for animals outside their own families, including birds and insects. These friendly behaviours, like grooming and play, suggest that the roots of human-animal partnerships are widespread across primates.
