Flood risk, landslides and rough seas: IMD flags an active monsoon week, what travellers need to know

The India Meteorological Department warned of heavy rainfall and potential landslides across India through August 12. The active monsoon will bring widespread showers to the Himalayan states, central regions, and the Northeast. Officials said the weather agency has also cautioned about flash floods, waterlogging, transport disruptions and rough sea conditions.
