Europe's rivers are drying up. Can they be saved?

The Rhine, Danube, and Po rivers reached historic lows, threatening shipping and agriculture across Europe. Scientist Jeanette Völker said, "Mussels cannot move away quickly enough and die off." Global warming caused this crisis, leaving riverbeds exposed. These low levels now hurt ecosystems and could soon raise the cost of water.
