Dudhwa battles rising wildlife conflict with just half its forest guards

The Dudhwa Tiger Reserve buffer zone faces a severe staff shortage as human-wildlife conflicts rise. Only 27 of 52 forest guard posts are filled. Deputy director Kirti Chaudhary said, "Recruitment was under way and senior authorities had assured that vacant posts would be filled." Staff now struggle to manage routine duties.
