Butterflies are changing where they live across the planet, with climate and extreme weather driving most documented shifts

Butterflies are moving across the world as climate change alters their habitats. A study of 1,758 species showed many are shifting ranges or elevations. Dr. Shawan Chowdhury said, "Butterflies are early-warning indicators and are signalling a warning across the entire planet." These shifts show how ecosystems are changing today.
