Global food prices hit a three-year high in July as extreme weather and conflicts pushed up costs. The FAO index reached 131.1 points, driven by a 3.4 per cent rise in cereal prices. While meat and dairy costs fell, experts said supply disruptions could keep food inflation high for many.
