Tata Sons in RBI’s new Upper Layer list for NBFCs

Tata Sons Private Ltd remains on the Reserve Bank of India’s new list of 17 NBFCs classified as Upper Layer for FY27. The RBI said this inclusion is without prejudice to the firm’s pending de-registration application. These entities face higher oversight and enhanced regulatory requirements for at least five years.
