India's oilseeds acreage rises 3% on good rains, may attain Centre's coverage target

India's Kharif oilseeds acreage rose 3 per cent to 180.20 lakh hectares after good July rains. Officials said, "Hopefully, this trend will continue till end of this month." While castor seed area fell, groundnut and soyabean saw gains. The government hopes to reach its 206.45 lakh hectares coverage target soon.
