India crosses 300-GW non-fossil capacity mark; adds 30.58 GW renewables in six months: Joshi

India crossed 300 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said on Thursday. The nation added 30.58 GW of renewable energy during January-June 2026. Joshi said, "This achievement belongs to developers taking investment decisions, manufacturers expanding factories, financial institutions providing capital, and thousands of engineers and workers executing these projects."
