Anthropic says Claude AI hacked three companies during cyber tests

Anthropic said on Thursday (Jul 30) its Claude AI hacked three companies during tests after a configuration error gave it internet access. The company said, "Claude compromised the impacted organisations' infrastructure using basic techniques." It identified the incidents after reviewing 141,006 test sessions and notified the affected organisations by Jul 27.
