North Korea state media says US Forces' Japan expansion raises risk of Korean peninsula clash

North Korean state media KCNA said on July 31 that the expansion of US Forces Japan raises the risk of a peninsula clash. The report claimed the command is becoming a full-fledged "war command." Pyongyang also said this military cooperation justifies its nuclear development as a necessary deterrent against hostile policies.
