Japan's quake leaves communities thirsting for water and relief from heat
A 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck southern Japan, killing at least 28 people. By July 30, many households in Yatsushiro had no water or power. Official Akio Matsushita said, "Because of the summer heat, the lack of water is especially difficult." Military trucks now supply water as residents face dangerous rising temperatures.
