Yemen’s army claims over 1,500 Houthi casualties in past 24 hours
Yemen’s government forces killed or wounded 1,540 Houthi rebels in the past 24 hours. Military spokesman Colonel Majed Abdullah al-Nazili said the army used warplanes and artillery to target Houthi positions. Most casualties occurred in Taiz, where government troops halted a rebel advance. Officials also closed the al-Houban crossing for security reasons.
