With shutdown looming, House leaders aim to quickly pass funding bill

House lawmakers plan to vote this week on a Senate-passed bill to fund federal agencies through Dec. 11. This move aims to avoid a government shutdown before the Nov. 3 midterm elections. Majority Whip Tom Emmer said, "That'll be a priority over in the House because we get things done."
