Why Larak Island Is Strategically Important for Iran

The U.S. military said on Sunday that it hit targets on Larak Island to stop Iran from launching rockets into the Strait of Hormuz. Capt. Tim Hawkins said, "U.S. forces had struck the island after observing Iranian forces there preparing to launch rockets." Iran later fired missiles at bases.
