US threatens to cut funding for two school districts over transgender policies

The U.S. Education Department threatened two school districts in Michigan and Maryland with federal funding cuts on July 27. Officials said these schools violated student privacy laws regarding transgender policies. Anne Arundel County Public Schools said, "Once such information is received, AACPS and its legal counsel will carefully review it."
