New York Climate 'Superfund' Law Falls in Court

A federal judge struck down New York’s climate "superfund" law on Monday. The measure required fossil fuel companies to pay $75 billion for climate projects. Judge Brenda K. Sannes ruled the statute conflicted with federal law. State Senator Liz Krueger said she expected "many rounds of legal wrangling" before the law.
