The death toll from the Nepal-China flood disaster passed 1,000 as of Tuesday morning. Rescue teams now focus on reaching workers trapped in hydropower tunnels. Nepal army spokesperson Raja Ram Basnet said, “A large amount of debris has been deposited and that is posing us a big challenge to open the tunnels.”
