John James Wins Republican Nomination for Michigan Governor

Representative John James won the Republican nomination for governor of Michigan on Tuesday. He defeated businessman Perry Johnson to secure his spot in the general election. Mr. James will face Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson in November. He hopes to become the first Black governor in the state’s long history.
