Gaza farmer returns to the grapevines he couldn’t bear to abandon

Khaled Abu Madeen returned to his grapevines in Sheikh Ijlin after being forced away by the war that started in October 2023. The 50-year-old farmer checked his surviving fruit alongside workers. “I feel like I have returned to my soul,” he said. He refused to leave his family land.
